Does Someone Smell Green Chile?
The first of the green chile was being roasted at the Market this past Sunday! Checkout the video...too bad you can't smell it through the screen!! Even though the season is producing TONS of fruit, corn, squash, and more, don't forget that you'll be missing this fresh food in the winter. That's why we are thinking about stocking the freezer up now! Most of the veggies are easily blanched and stored; the fruit can be pitted and stored easily too! If you need tips on food storage, speak to the grower you are purchasing it from, they will provide lots of useful info. This Wednesday is another chance to get fresh and local food..directly from the farm! Vendors will be at the Market 3PM-6PM.
