September 16th 2012 Market

This Sunday, vendors donated 195 pounds of food to the Market’s community partner, Seed2Need. The Corrales Growers’ Market has donated almost 3000 pounds of fresh fruits and vegetables this season, bringing Seed2Need’s total donations over 40,000 pounds this year! The Corrales Food Pantry Project, Seed2Need, involves planting vegetable gardens in the Village of Corrales and donating the produce to local food pantries, primarily to Rio Grande Food Project, Storehouse West and St. Felix Pantry. Thank you to all our supportive customers and vendors, Seed2Need couldn’t do this without you! More pictures can be found below, and you can learn more about Seed2Need on their Facebook page. Food sustainability can be created one small farm at a time, locally and nationally. Support your local community by visiting the Corrales Growers’ Market and giving back to your community through great organizations, such as Seed2Need. See you at the Wednesday Market at 3PM!
