This past Sunday, our local agricultural producers attended the annual membership meeting for the Corrales Growers’ Market to plan for the 2017 Season. We had a very productive meeting; we had the Sandoval county extension office talk about food safety and the services that the Extension Office provides for free, as well as the Corrales Police Department to discuss the support and services that they provide to the Market and the community. The attendees heard from Seed2Need, which runs a very successful program that donates fresh produce to local food pantries. Vendors are excited about the upcoming Market season and ready to get started! We’ll have one more winter market – April 2nd, 11AM-1PM. Then, four weeks later, the 2017 season begins on April 30th, 9AM-12PM with music by String Dinner. See you next Sunday!
